You’ll be joining QA as an Administrator Apprentice for our People services Team, providing support with various admin tasks that are vital for our efficiency and continued success. Also working as part of our wider HR team, you’ll play a key role in the continued growth of QA.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the PS team with the initiation and progress of background checks including employment references, Right to Work checks, criminal disclosure and BPSS checks.
Support with required disclosure check renewals and new checks as identified by the PS team leader or the business.
Check the background check portal on a daily basis, updating relevant systems and informing employee and line manager when clearance has been received.
Initiate any risk assessment following unclear checks, escalating to PS Team Leader for sign-off.
Maintain Sostenuto (SOS) call management system, ensuring that all calls and queries are logged, responded to where necessary and the appropriate audit trails are available
About You:
You’ll need a positive attitude towards getting the job done, while working to support the people services team, a desire to learn and provide an excellent service.
Excellent attention to detail.
Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office; Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.
Great written and spoken communication skills.

About our role: As Student Relations Coordinator you will have the ability and knowledge to deliver an outstanding student experience facilitating, supporting and encouraging student engagement in social activities and events.
You'll play a vital role in facilitating the Student Activities Association working closely with volunteer student ambassadors and student social clubs to ensure best practice in all areas of the student-led provision

Organise student welcome and orientation week events, such as Freshers’ days, working with the Course Directors to timetable agreed activities.
Planning and attending external events/trips with students; undertaking risk assessment prior to event/trip. These events often occur outside of normal campus working hours.
Encourage and positively promote student engagement in student-led activities and events providing training and support to equip student event organisers and volunteers with the skills to run successful activities.
be responsible for the delivery of events and activities at London campus. Embed British Values in events/ activities/ communications.
Maintain an awareness of low-cost or free events, activities and social opportunities for students in the Manchester, Birmingham and London areas, raising awareness and promoting accordingly.
Foster links with local businesses and facilities to source discounts and special offers for students
Bring your experience:
Practical experience of planning and delivering events.
Practical experience of working with international students and understanding of cultural diversity is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication skill
Ability to engage and motivate students.

About our role: As Student Welfare Advisor you will have the knowledge & ability to provide advice, guidance and information on personal, predominantly welfare and disability related issues to students at each stage of the learner pathway.
Our role will also involve providing advice, guidance and information to Faculty and Business Support teams on supporting students to overcome personal barriers to learning, working closely our partner Universities to provide a structured system of support in line with our processes and policies.
You will ideally have knowledge in the government benefit system and housing regulations etc. and dealt with various crisis matters for example homelessness, financial hardship, violence, abuse etc.
