  • Software Engineering Lecturer Home based 12 months Fixed term Contract About our role:  As a Lecturer in the Degree Apprenticeship team in QAA you will be working with learners that are studying alongside full-time work to develop themselves in their professional specialism. We teach using Blended Learning, which means that our Lecturers support learners through the development of online content and activities, remote interactive sessions (e.g. WebEx or discussion forums) and in live-online or Face-to-Face workshop. Key Responsibilities To design and take ownership for multiple modules on the Degree Apprenticeship programmes, and to contribute to the delivery of high quality learning. This will include online support throughout the programme and delivery of a series of face-to-face live online workshops  Development of course materials for a number of modules, including video for online learning, exercises, slides and assessments  To contribute to the wider team activities on assessment and teaching as required.  To make an active contribution to ensure this programme continues to improve, and that all   Skills & Abilities Excellent, detailed knowledge of more than one topic within the required subject areas including Software Engineering. Confident in Python programming Experience of Agile Software Development Familiar with the DevOps CI/CD pipeline Aware of broader Software Engineering Methodologies and structural approaches Knowledge of Apprenticeships and work-based learning, or knowledge of Higher Education. Apprenticeship Central Services Officer

  • Apprenticeship Central Services Officer 6 months contract Hybrid – into nearest office (London, Manchester, Swindon, Leeds, Slough, Birmingham, Glasgow) As part of the central services function, this role is pivotable in providing central support to our apprentices throughout their journey with us. This team will work together to provide the best possible support through displaying best practice, efficiency, initiative, attention to detail and open communication.  You will work closely with our onboarding teams to identify and appropriately recognise, any prior learning that new apprentices have, ensuring their journey with QA is adjusted based on their prior skills, knowledge and behaviours. Job Responsibilities • Provide a responsive contact desk for all apprentices as well as both external and internal stakeholders. • Respond to all phone and email-based enquiries in a timely manner, resolving or re-directing queries where necessary. • Record all incoming enquiries by documenting the enquiry and response, adhering to set SLA response times. • Schedule and book apprenticeship schedules (L3-5) using the internal booking system, liaising with scheduling and or delivery as appropriate. • Make schedule changes as required by learners, delivery colleagues or scheduling. Liaising with appropriate stakeholders depending on the reason for the re-schedule or cancellation. • Provide administrative Bud functions i.e. making changes to line manager details as requested. • Add or move customer accounts on relevant systems as required by sales, delivery or onboarding. Skills and Experience • Administrative experience ideally within the education sector will be an advantage • Multi-tasking and delivery to agreed timescale • Ability to interpret and implement regulations • Experience of working in a customer centric environment

Learning Designer

  • Learning Designer London/Hybrid (2 days in the office) 12 months FTC   As a Learning Designer you will:    Build strong relationships with Curriculum, Content, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand course content, learning objectives, and learner needs.    Collaborate with Senior Learning Designers and SMEs to create engaging and innovative blended learning programmes for QA's Apprenticeships.     Script learning content using learning design principles, maintain accurate and quality-assured documentation, and ensure compliance with accessibility and copyright standards. Key Responsibilities You will ensure that the design and development of modules and other assets are completed to: specification  time  budget  quality standards.    Your success in the role will ultimately be measured by delivering better outcomes for learners and the client. Skills & Abilities Ability to design engaging and impactful learning solutions, based on sound and evidence-based principles  Excellent stakeholder management skills.  Broad understanding of learning methodologies, and familiarity with cognitive psychology theories of learning  Familiarity with different media, their role and potential use cases in learning design  Strong learner focus, and design thinking ethos Strong writing skills, including video scripting  Proactive and collaborative communication approach A good understanding of the eLearning industry: existing and emerging platforms  Preferred: understanding of apprenticeship standards, funding requirements, and Ofsted regulations.  Your Knowledge  Excellent knowledge and understanding of pedagogy and learning design theory is essential.  A good understanding of the digital learning industry including competitors, key suppliers and technologies is an asset.
