Scheduling / Planning Team Lead (academic timetabling within our cover team)

Homebased working, Monday – Friday 8.30-5pm (very occasional travel)
As Scheduling Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and assisting your team in covering lecturer absence. The role will also involve the recording of holiday/absence request ensuring the information is accurate and the process is followed by the academic team.
It’s vital we ensure all cover is actioned with minimal disruption to students timetables and in the unlikely event a session is required to be cancelled you will be responsible to ensure this is rescheduled.
You will also monitor and flag any low academic resource requirements and assist with any payroll/sessional teaching hours queries with a high level of accuracy.

You will ensure cover is actioned with consideration to both cost and consistency with student delivery.
You will be responsible for making sure the recording of absence is accurate and monitored correctly. You will produce a monthly summary on cover actioned.
You will assist in improving turnaround time on cover requirements.
Monitoring of the shared inbox for last minute cover requirements or absence of lectures in class
Constant communication with the team to ensure any changes are flagged and understood.
Assisting with ad-hoc enquires that come into the shared inbox.
Timetable management throughout each semester.
Bring your experience:
Working with timetables/ schedules where changes have occurred and action needs to be taken.
Experience of multi-tasking and working within an evolving environment.
Experience of managing and prioritising complex workloads with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lead, motivate and manage a small team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional organisational, problem-solving and planning skills with a high level of attention to detail.
