Head of Procurement
Location: Leeds
About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Procurement to lead our procurement function across the entire organisation at QA Workforce Learning.
This is a hands on role that requires a deep involvement in procurement activities across all types of spend categories (direct and indirect), while ensuring alignment with the organisations goals and compliance with procurement policies. You will have ownership across the wider business (process, governance, and compliance/onboarding) as well as senior stakeholder influence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead procurement transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance, aligning to business objectives.
- Design, write, and implement procurement policies, processes, and procedures to standardize procurement operations.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and provide training to key stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance and recommend improvements to enhance policy effectiveness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements and digital tools.
- Engage directly in key procurement activities, including supplier negotiations, contract management, and tender processes.
- Drive cost optimization while ensuring quality, sustainability, and supplier performance.
- Lead procurement operations across all business units and spend categories.
- Evaluate and manage supplier performance to ensure alignment with organizational requirements.
Your experience:
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) certification.
- Demonstrated success in a senior procurement role, with hands-on experience managing procurement activities across diverse spend categories.
- Strong focus on process improvement and the ability to implement structured methodologies.
- Experience in leading procurement transformation and driving organizational change.
- Skilled in writing and implementing procurement policies and ensuring compliance.
- Ability to align procurement strategy with overall business goals and deliver measurable outcomes.
