Events Coordinator for our Higher Education Students

London, QA Higher Education

Part-time 18.5 hours per week, hours variable

About our role: As Student Relations Coordinator you will have the ability and knowledge to deliver an outstanding student experience facilitating, supporting and encouraging student engagement in social activities and events.

You'll play a vital role in facilitating the Student Activities Association working       closely with volunteer student ambassadors and student social clubs to ensure best practice in all areas of the student-led provision

Organise student welcome and orientation week events, such as Freshers’ days,       working with the Course Directors to timetable agreed activities.

Planning and attending external events/trips with students; undertaking risk assessment prior to event/trip.  These events often occur outside of normal campus working hours.

Encourage and positively promote student engagement in student-led activities and events providing training and support to equip student event organisers and volunteers with the skills to run successful activities.

be responsible for the delivery of events and activities at London campus.           Embed British Values in events/ activities/ communications.

Maintain an awareness of low-cost or free events, activities and social opportunities for students in the Manchester, Birmingham and London areas, raising awareness and promoting accordingly.

Foster links with local businesses and facilities to source discounts and special offers for students

Bring your experience:

Practical experience of planning and delivering events.

Practical experience of working with international students and understanding of cultural diversity is desirable but not essential.

Excellent communication skill

Ability to engage and motivate students.
